In 1930, Samuel Carbis designed the first aluminum fire ladder. His entrepreneurial spirit and his desire to provide safer access became legendary as his company's product line expanded from its initial aluminum ladder manufacturing to fall protection and bulk loading equipment for the bulk loading industry. Samuel Carbis' daughter, Helen Cramer was the Chairman of the Board to a company that is both a manufacturing facility and a family.
